Plain-language summary of how the ClaudePass service and subscription work.

The service

ClaudePass is a closed-source, locally-run secret manager (cpass) plus a small hosted license service that issues and manages Pro subscriptions. The Free plan holds up to 3 Secrets; the Pro plan is $9.99/month for unlimited Secrets.

Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime; canceling stops future renewals but does not revoke a license token already activated on your machine — cpass verifies tokens entirely offline, so a token keeps working until its current billing period plus a short grace window ends.

Acceptable use

You're responsible for the Secrets you store and the commands you run through cpass. Don't use ClaudePass to store or handle data you aren't authorized to hold, or to circumvent its Command Policy or Redaction for a purpose other than your own legitimate use of your own Secrets.

No warranty

ClaudePass is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Redaction is best-effort by design — it makes leaking a Secret through a wrapped command's own output hard and detectable, not impossible. See Security for exactly what that does and doesn't cover.
